Profiled by de Groots MediaFrom the front, it looks like a modern, stylish restaurant. It’s not till you step through to the timber deck out back that you discover its secret. Views, views and more views. The tables on the deck overlook the best Cullen Bay has to offer including luxury cruisers and million dollar waterside homes. Having said that, the views fade in comparison to the succulent menu on offer at Charcoal Oven.
All dishes are made with the finest ingredients – no shortcuts here. The entree of fish cakes, for example are made entirely from quality mackerel. Main dishes include the best Indonesia has to offer including chicken in pandan leaves and charcoal roasted duck salad. To complement the stunning water views, seafood is also a feature of the extensive menu, with dishes such as fresh mud crabs and chilli bug tails. Add to this some great international options, including their famous succulent Greek-style charcoal roasted square cut lamb shoulder and you’ve got yourself a feast. You can finish your meal with your choice of dessert from their ever-changing dessert menu. Friday and Saturday nights you can while away your time singing your favourite tunes in the karaoke room or enjoy a traditional game of mahjong.
