LOCATION
At Huskisson, on the south coast, 2 hours drive from Sydney

DETAILS
The Gunyah is at the heart of the camp and raised high off the ground, amongst the treetops, to catch the breeze. A chic space, designed by Sydney architects, Nettleton Tribe, it is cooled in summer by refreshing sea breezes off the bay.
The Gunyah (Aboriginal for "meeting place" or "place of shelter") has two sides on which the doors fold back to create a large indoor/outdoor space. In winter, with the doors closed the log fire creates a warm, cosy and sociable atmosphere.

Paper Bark Camp is eco-tourism at its best, architect-designed to harmonise with surrounding bush. Just a few kilometres from Jervis Bay on Sydney's stunning, unspoilt south Coast, the unique tents have private en suite facilities, comfortable queen or twin beds, pure wool doonas, insect screens and solar powered lighting. They are also stylishly furnished with locally handcrafted bush furniture.

To maintain privacy, Paper Bark Camp's tents have been randomly spaced like footprints amongst tall spotted gums on the 88-acre property. The camp has a 600-metre frontage onto the pristine and highly protected Currambene Creek, the only navigable waterway into Jervis Bay. The original landscape was carefully cleared by hand so that delicate ecosystems, native flora and birdlife have been preserved.

FUNCTIONS
The dining room & verandah can seat up to 70 people, making it ideal for weddings in a very tranquil setting. Conference facilities and private functions are catered for.
